Audeze

Audeze LCD-4z

The Audeze LCD-4z packs that signature Audeze bass punch and intimate sound on a lighter, more futuristic frame than the LCD-4, and at 15 ohm and 98 dB/mW sensitivity it can be driven by a much wider array of equipment. Still recommend a high-quality headphone amplifier to get the most from your LCD-4z, with either our Gilmore Lite mk2 or GS-X Mini being great choices.

Our Take

Featuring a new look and greater efficiency, the design and sound of the LCD-4z is sure to thrill! Engineered with a new magnesium housing to produce a light-weight, visually appealing headphone, the LCD-4z maintains the sound signature of LCD-4.

Easier to Drive

Audeze took their award-winning design of the top-of-the-line LCD-4 and engineered it with a special 15 ohm voice-coil making it significantly easier to drive than the original LCD-4. This model does not replace the original 200 ohm LCD-4, but offers a perfect solution for users seeking more head room.

Bold new look

The LCD-4z features a dark sleek aesthetic with gold accents. The magnesium rings of the LCD-4z are designed to be strong, lightweight, and non-resonant for a very clean output.

About Audeze

The planar-magnetic driver design used by Audeze moves a large ultra-thin driver between magnet arrays, capable of great air movement. This helps create the signature powerful bass that Audeze headphones have become known for, in addition to a natural, extended treble.
